Self Portrait in Graphite Two

This is my latest self portrait. It's much more flattering than my last one.
Final Projects for this semester are due next week and I am a busy busy bee!

Square One

I am also taking a creature design class with the wonderful Terryl Whitlatch and Cityscape Painting with Dean Larson. Learning new things every day and getting lots of portfolio work done!
My department director suggested many helpful workshops to help me with my thesis, but the unfortunate conclusion from these workshops is that I really need to start from square one, which leaves me wondering what it was exactly that I have accomplished the last two years...?

An Olympian Feat!

Allergies are killing me, I keep stepping on my dog's pointy chewed up cow hoof (ouch!), and more wedding planning. Uggggg! If only I could sit and fiddle with photoshop all day! Instead, today I must go to the dumps and get rid of the debris from our now gutted master bathroom.
Never a dull moment!!

A photoshopped life

47 days until the wedding and two weeks into summer school classes. A week ago I went kayaking and gave myself a nice case of acute tendonitis in my wrist which has made working on homework (and housework) just that much more fun ;P
Never the less, here is a project from my photoshop class that I am taking online this summer. I feel like I'm struggling a lot in this class and that everyone else in the class are already experts in photoshop and just breezing through it. It is supposed to be a beginners class so I am confused as to how everyone else seems to be so good at it already and I constantly feel like a fish out of water. Oh well, guess that just means I need to be working harder and spending more time on my homework.
I'm REALLY looking forward to this Fall when I will be getting the newer version of photoshop!
Hopefully I will get the hang of it and start putting out some work I can really be proud of!

She Sells Sea Shells

This is something that I did last semester. It's my only layout design that has a character in it (we weren't supposed to have characters in our drawings but my teacher didn't say anything about it, phew!) Why a Sea Shell Shop would be open at night is beyond me, but I just went with it.
As a little kid my family would take trips to Morro Bay and my cousins and I LOVED to collect (or buy if we had money) sea shells. So that was the inspiration for this cable car creation. Hope everyone is having a good start to summer. I have my fingers crossed that I will get some new drawings done before I start sumer school.
Hasta La vista!
